Summer Book Swap & Reading Space at Brunswick

Our mini library at Brunswick is your community book exchange. Bring a pre-loved book and swap it, or get comfortable on our comfy seats and start your read. Once you’re done, bring it back and take another one! The majority of the books are generously donated this is to ensure we are always fully stocked, that there is minimal wastage and the environment is considered.

Storytelling Sessions at Brunswick

Monday 16th August, Monday 23rd August, Monday 30th August & Monday 6th September

There are 7 sessions daily each last 20 minutes running from 10:20 – 12:50.

Every Monday through the holidays up to 6th September Brunswick in partnership with the National Literacy Trust Our Stories campaign and CU Scarborough will be running storytelling sessions in the upper mall. Bring your small people along to go on many adventures and even create some stories along the way.

There are also additional activities and the chance to be involved in the biggest story the Yorkshire Coast has ever told.

Make & Take Book Crafts Day at Brunswick

Saturday 28 August from 11am til 3pm

Join us and the team from Creation Station for a day of hands on “make and take” craft activities. Activity is on a first come basis. All children must be accompanied at all times.

Connecting Stories is an Arts Council England-funded project addressing the literacy attainment gap across our 14 Hub areas and increases children and young people’s access to literary experiences and books in communities most in need of support.
