Join us and make Scarborough a mentally healthier place to live!

Mental Health Awareness Week this year starts on Monday 14th May and we have lots of activities taking place at Brunswick.  Over the week we will be showcasing some of the many services and organisations around Scarborough who can provide support for achieving good mental health. We’ll also be giving you the chance to try taster sessions of Yoga, Mindfulness and Art Therapy to help you combat stress and improve your wellbeing.

Everyone is welcome to come along, we’ll have lots of activities and information for people of all ages, young and old.

Here’s what is on when:
All workshops will take place at Unit 12. (next door to Trespass)
Places are available on a first come, first served basis.

Monday 14th to Friday 18th May
NEED TO TALK?

10am to 3pm | The Samaritans. If you would like to talk, the Samaritan team will at Brunswick to listen. They do not give advice but they will have the time to listen.

Monday 14 May 
MINDFULNESS & TAKING NOTICE

12pm – 1pm | The team from Scarborough, Whitby & Ryedale Mind will inspire us.

Tuesday 15 May 
TEA & TALK

12pm – 1.30pm | Join the team from Scarborough, Whitby & Ryedale Mind for tea and a chat!

Wednesday 16 May 
VOLUNTEERING FAIR

11.30am – 1.30pm | We’ll have a whole host of local organisations on site. Find out how you can give back.

Thursday 17 May 
ART THERAPY 

11am – 2pm | Learn something new with Scarborough, Whitby & Ryedale Mind art tasters.

Friday 18th May
YOGA TASTERS

Join Yoga Yorkshire at one of their taster sessions and take the first step towards a new you.

11.30 -12.00 | Meditation

12.30 – 1.00 | Pranayama (Breath Work)

1.30 -2.00 | Asana (Yoga Postures)

2.30 – 3.00 | Yoga Nidra (Relaxation)

3.30 – 3.45 | Chanting
