Uncategorised — A Thousand Ships

‘A Thousand Ships’ at  Brunswick.

As. Part of ‘The Odyssey’ – an Epic Adventure on the Yorkshire Coast’, Animated Objects are bringing a fleet of a thousand hand folded origami ships to the Yorkshire Coast this weekend.

Saturday 24th & Sunday 25th July 2021 from 10.30 to 15.30.
Admission is free.

Why not make it part of your visit to the Yorkshire Coast? We’d love to see you there.

You can also find out more about The Odyssey project; how to get involved; and how to access our free geolocation walks (available in over 25 locations along the coast) on your mobile device from our staff during your visit.

Each of the hand folded ships has been made by members of communities along our beautiful coast and surrounding countryside, on paper designed by talented local artists.

The exhibition is accompanied by a soundtrack of people’s voices from the coast with contributions from Sleights to Spurn; Whitby to Withernsea and everywhere in between; each expressing what they love about this wonderful part of the world. It’s a truly uplifting insight into our region and the people who live here.
